ATS9440: SyncBoard 2x
If your application requires more than 4 channels for data acquisition, you can synchronize multiple digitizers on all platforms using a Leader/Follower SyncBoard 9440. SyncBoard 9440 is a mezzanine board that connects to the Leader/Follower connector along the top edge of the ATS9440 and sits parallel to the motherboard.
SyncBoard-9440 2x allows a 2-board Leader/Follower system with single-slot spacing for 8 channels of data acquisition.
If you require 2-slot spacing between ATS9440 cards to support a motherboard that spaces out the on-board x8 or x16 slots by two slots, use the SyncBoard 9440 2x-W.
Synchronize up to four ATS9440 boards for up to 16 channels of data acquisition using the appropriate SyncBoard-9440.
Complete synchronization between Leader board and all Follower boards
The Leader board’s clock and trigger signals are copied by the SyncBoard 9440 and supplied to all the Follower boards. This guarantees complete synchronization between the Leader board and all Follower boards. SyncBoard 9440 allows the use of variable frequency clocks in Leader/Follower configuration. A Leader/Follower system samples all inputs simultaneously and also triggers simultaneously on the same clock edge.
For optimal trigger accuracy, only the Leader board is allowed to trigger the acquisition system.
