Electronics Technician

Job Description:

Electronics Technician for Production department

Duties:

  • Calibrate, test and verify customer-bound products as per established methods.
  • Perform diagnostics on non-conforming products and RMAs. Generate Defect Analysis Reports.
  • Customize units and make adjustments or repairs according to written documentation
  • Maintain non-conformance logs for failed units
  • Maintain all work related equipment, cables etc.
    Maintain and write work procedures and all related documentation for each task performed
  • Works with management to set work schedule based on approximate delivery dates
  • Works with customers to reproduce field failures in the laboratory

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Be an experienced Electronics Technician with ability to read OrCAD schematics
  • Have experience using electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, function generator…)
  • Have solid computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Office for documentation
  • Be well organized and able to multi-task
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as in group settings
  • Attention to detail
  • Fluency in written English is required - 95% of company's customers are outside of Quebec, so English is necessary

Bonus Skills:

  • Excellent soldering skills
  • Technical writing ability will also be an asset

Software Engineer

Job Description:

Software Engineer to work on R&D projects in support of Hardware team, design and maintain software applications and assist worldwide customers integrate AlazarTech products into their system

Duties:

  • Write embedded software in support of new product development
  • Create, modify and enhance windows and linux software drivers for AlazarTech products
  • Create software test suite for more automated testing of released software
  • Responsible for writing software for performance verification test of AlazarTech products
  • Maintain and enhance AlazarDSO oscilloscope emulation application program
  • Maintain and enhance C/C++, MATLAB, LabVIEW and Python software development kits
  • Maintain and enhance software development kit documentation
  • Interface with customers to assist them in technical evaluation of AlazarTech products
  • Create custom GPU kernels for DSP applications
  • Perform code-review as member of the Software team

Skills/Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of C/C++ and MFC experience
  • At least 3 years of embedded software development experience
  • Substantial prior exposure to Personal Computer architecture (PCI, PCI Express bus)
  • Intermediate driver development experience with Windows and Linux operation systems
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication skills
  • Personable, presentable and articulate
  • Attention to detail
  • Fluency in written English is required - 95% of companys customers are outside of Quebec, so English is necessary

  • Knowledge of LabVIEW, MATLAB and Python

GPU Software Engineer

Job Description:

Software Engineer to work on GPU based software development to design DSP libraries for processing data acquired by company’s line of waveform digitizer products. Secondary tasks will include working with end customers to integrate these software libraries into their system, be part of R&D projects in support of Hardware team, design and maintain software applications.

  • Write GPU kernels in CUDA

  • Maintain and enhance C/C++, MATLAB, LabVIEW and Python software development kits

  • Interface with customers to assist them in technical evaluation of AlazarTech products
